We do not expect to charge any one-off fees relating to any financial advice provided to our clients. However, we may charge a fee for the financial advice service provided, where the clients has cancelled or materially changed their insurance policy within the first 2 years of issue, or refinance \/ repay your mortgage within a 2 year.<\/p>

If this happens, and you haven\u2019t given MFS the opportunity to assist you with your insurance \/ mortgage revision, we may charge you a fee for our services, we will inform you of the exact amount if the situation arises. We do not aim to charge this fee unnecessarily. We have not charged either of these fees to date<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

A percentage of the value of your KiwiSaver balance, outstanding loan amount or premiums, usually calculated at the end of each month in which you hold the investment or loan, or on renewal of insurance products. This trail commission applies to certain Kiwisaver, insurance and mortgage providers<\/p>

We are here for our clients and to advise you as best we can. Your interests are our priority although we do have business relationships with product providers also.<\/p>

From time to time our product providers assist us with funding so we can bring our advisers together for conferences and professional development training<\/p>

We may pay a referral fee to a referral partner for introducing you to us. This fee is paid by MFS and it does not influence or affect the advice we provide to you in any way\u00a0<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

To ensure our advisers prioritise our clients\u2019 interests:<\/p>

  • We follow an advice process that ensures our recommendations are made appropriately, based on clients\u2019 goals and circumstances.<\/li>
  • All our advisers undergo annual training about how to manage conflicts of interest.<\/li>
  • We maintain registers of conflicts of interest and the gifts and incentives we receive. These registers are monitored regularly, and additional training is provided as required.<\/li>
  • We undertake an annual independent Compliance Assurance Review.<\/li><\/ul>

    Our duties and obligations to you<\/p>

    We are bound by the duties of the Financial Markets Conduct Act (431I, 431K, 431L and 431M) to:<\/p>

    • Meet the standards of competence, knowledge, and skill set out in the Code of Conduct \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/li>
    • Give priority to the clients\u2019 interest, and<\/li>
    • Exercise care, diligence and skill, and<\/li>
